Places to visit

The gorgeous views and  beautiful nature invite you to leave the farm and go on walks and hikes with the whole family. Our neighbour „Eder“ runs an inn virtually the whole year round, and it’s only about a 20-minute walk from the farm.

A bit further away are the „Niederhoferalm“ mountain pastures, which every child around here knows from summer trips.

Around two hours away you reach the „Gruberhütte“ alpine hut,  where you have an incredible view of the sunny side of the Zillertaler mountains.

There are also closer excursions on this side of the valley.
Directly opposite us is the „Rotbachalm“ alpine pasture, which is well worth a trip in itself. From there you can reach THE viewpoint in the valley : the “Wolfeskofel“. It’s a gentle one and a half hours across the mountain and you’ll have the whole of the Ahrntal valley literally at your feet.
Obviously, peak-climbers are more than welcome here : the „Schwarzenstein“ and the “Große Löffler“ are amongst the highest mountains in the main Alpine ridge.
And if you prefer to get about on two wheels: the cycle route goes right past the farm.

We’re well-located in the winter as well:
You can catch a ski bus every thirty minutes from the stop outside our farm to the skiing areas Speikboden and Klausberg.

Seasoned and courageous ski tourers can connect to the local route, which starts only ten metres away from the farm and climbs up the steep meadows in the direction of „Faden.“ Completely safe from avalanches!

If you prefer to take it a bit easier you can follow the valley floor route using the signposted cross country ski route.
